Raksha Expo, air show to form part of Telangana Global Summit

Hyderabad, Oct 8 (SocialNews.XYZ) Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju said on Thursday that Raksha Expo and an air show will be organized as part of the Telangana Global Summit–2026 scheduled to be held in Hyderabad from December 7 to 9.

He added that the Raksha Expo would provide a major platform to promote the growth of the defence and aerospace industries and attract investments to Telangana.

 

The Chief Secretary chaired a meeting at the B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat to review the arrangements for the Raksha Expo.

He discussed the participation of defence and aerospace companies, infrastructure, security arrangements, publicity and other related issues.

Sanjay Jaju noted that that around 30 per cent of the defence and aerospace industries are based in Hyderabad, making the city an important hub for these sectors.

The Chief Secretary directed officials to invite leading national and international defence, aerospace and arms manufacturing companies to participate in the Raksha Expo.

He told that roadshows will be organised in Hyderabad on October 24 and in New Delhi on October 29 as part of the promotional campaign for the Expo.

He said the state government is according priority to the development of the defence and aerospace sectors and recalled that an airfield strip is being developed in Adilabad district.

The Chief Secretary directed officials to ensure participation of industry bodies such as FICCI, ASSOCHAM, SIDM and MSMEs, along with public and private sector organisations in the defence and aerospace sectors.

Leading organisations such as HAL, BEL and BDL are expected to showcase their products at the Expo.

The event will also provide opportunities for business interactions, buyer-seller meetings, marketing, MoUs, startup collaborations and seminars.

In view of the ongoing modernisation of police and paramilitary forces across the country, he directed officials to invite Director Generals of Police (DGPs) of all states to participate in the Expo.

The Chief Secretary directed officials to undertake extensive publicity for the Raksha Expo through standees at prominent locations in Hyderabad, short films, brochures and social media platforms.

He stressed the need for effective coordination among all departments and agencies to ensure the successful conduct of the Expo.

Home Department Principal Secretary Shikha Goel, Panchayat Raj and SERP Commissioner Divya, Invest Telangana CEO Ajit Reddy, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
